Founded in 2020, the Lakewood School of Music’s mission is to provide an inclusive setting for musical education with the guidance of qualified and experienced mentors.
Welcome to the Lakewood School of Music, an esteemed institution dedicated to the art of music. We offer private music lessons tailored to each individual's skill level and aspirations, provided by our team of experienced instructors. Our facility boasts a professional-grade performance hall, designed to offer an unparalleled experience for both performers and audience. Additionally, we foster a sense of community through our various ensembles, encouraging collaboration and growth among musicians of all ages.
We believe that music is for everyone. Studies show that students who study music get better grades and have a higher graduation rate than those who do not. Additionally, studies have shown that excellence in STEM subjects are aided by music education through the stimulation of cognitive function and neuroplasticity.
The Lakewood School of Music offers individualized lessons on a wide variety of instruments, a full digital recording studio, a brand new professional-quality performance hall, as well as summer camps and other educational events.
Our teachers specialize in offering private, individualized music lessons with a professional teaching history of over 50 years. A music school is the ideal professional setting for what the teachers are offering students, and what we believe is best for overall education. We offer a one-on-one teacher-to-student ratio for all private lessons.

Steven Braun, President of the Lakewood School of Music Foundation
“Teaching is such a rewarding experience. It is a joy seeing ideas click in a student’s head and seeing the excitement in their faces when they make progress. It truly is a privilege to be a part of that.”
